An International Love Story:  Blending UK, Aussie & African Vibes at This Destination Wedding

Some weddings just hit different — and this one was everything. ✨ Linda + Shaun’s destination wedding in the UK brought together the people they love from every corner of the world: the bride flying in from Australia, her family travelling from Africa, and their friends making the journey from across Australia (where the couple live). Planning the entire day remotely from Australia (yes, seriously!), Linda and Shaun pulled off an editorial wedding experience that felt personal, emotional, and ridiculously fun — hosted at Whistle Barns, a rustic lakeside venue in Eastwood that fit the vibe perfectly.

From the morning’s preparations on site — where anticipation buzzed through every room — to an emotional first look by the lake that left Shaun in tears, every moment was grounded in deep connection. Linda had two more first looks: one with most supportive crew of bridesmaids + bridesman, and one with Linda’s mum + auntie who flew in for the occasion. The ceremony, led by celebrant Sue Burton, was packed with meaning and their words — all about family, connection, and their story.

Reception goals? Fully delivered. ✨ Right after the ceremony, guests enjoyed flowing welcome drinks and delicious canapés under the sun — and one of the highlights? Charlotte Jones was already creating live illustrations of the day, adding an extra layer of editorial magic that had everyone buzzing.

Later, when it was time for the room reveal, Linda had a total moment walking in. Seeing her Sereality Studios styling vision brought to life — every detail perfectly executed, elevated, and completely “them” — was emotional and unforgettable. The space had that high-fashion editorial feel while still being so personal.

And just when guests thought it couldn’t get more meaningful — Linda and Shaun surprised them with personal letters for each and every guest. Such a heartfelt, personal touch that brought on all the happy tears. The vibe just kept building from there: an epic bridal party entrance (yes, shots included), and the energy stayed ✨ immaculate ✨ all night long.

They also pulled the ultimate power move: switching into a second look for the rest of the night, because why not keep the party going in style? They also had super fun moments like the Mr & Mrs game played with their guests (cue loads of laughs), and an emotional first dance to Ordinary — a song that holds so much meaning for them both. The dance floor was packed, the vibe was electric, and the whole evening was full of love, energy, and those rare moments you just want to relive forever. 🖤
